i was focusing on when he first discussed her. not sure how he got that she was accomplished on what little she sang on stage. definitely not a belter like Idina.

Thank goodness (not Idina - sorry). Well, she can only sing what she's given. I guess he saw/heard something, or maybe he's heard her before.

it is perplexing that Susan Strohman knows of her singing ability and yet F&A avoided giving her some key songs to sing. But that might be A&F's vision for the show.

There was no older Marie in the workshop of two years ago (I did not see it, just heard about it). So who knows why the decision was made to go this way - the concept of an older Marie with her younger self was intriguing , or they wanted a stronger voice but loved her as a dancer.
