First of all the measure of an audience's demographic can not be made by the mens room line. That's an old joke about Broadway and means more about the aging of a key demographic and effect of the cold on their bladders. There are many women in the audience. Many a fall show can close quickly but the overall attendance numbers are predictable year over year week to week and only those with "names" can come in assured that they will be selling out from day one. I am saying that the producers are not new to this game or the data - no one would give up on a show with the reviews this one got - they just need to do the marketing and bring the audience to the show. Give it time, the reviews just came out.
