If there was a musical to be made during that time, I sure as hell wanted to see and hear Barbra Streisand, Julie Andrews or Liza Minnelli do it rather than Meryl Streep, who was known more for being a dramatic actress. I'm glad Ellen Greene did "Little Shop of Horrors", though apparently Streisand was interested at one point; she probably might have channeled her character in "All Night Long" and pulled it off.
