Are the freaks being featured in any Side Show advertising?

Posted by: AnyaS 07:09 pm EST 11/22/14

This morning I posted a photo of the freaks on my friend's FB wall. She hadn't seen any footage or material from the revival and was curious about the raves for the costumes/makeup. Almost immediately after I posted the photo to her wall, I received two PMs from other friends who'd seen my photo and wanted to know more info about the show. One woman even said she is so hooked on the current season of American Horror Story: Freak Show that she would see Side Show in a heartbeat if she didn't live in Northern California. Just wondering if the Side Show people have tried to piggyback on ASH's current theme in their marketing? I was surprised at how quickly two people, neither huge theater fans, replied so quickly and with such intense interest. I don't live in New York so maybe the freaks are being featured in the ad campaign and I've missed it. So far, all I've seen online are shots of Daisy and Violet.

Many photo layouts as noted and they are all full size on the front of the theater.

I don't know many Broadway shows that actually pay for national TV advertising that would be connected with a show like American Horror. It's mostly tri-state advertising with Broadway shows - or national with PHANTOM, etc perhaps.

Question: Will we see them in the Macy's Parade?

That's what I'm wondering, whether they'll attempt a truncated version of the opening number, and segue to the girls. So we see the whole company. Or if they'll just do one of the two iconic numbers. "Ready to Play" would cut, but it doesn't stop the show the way "We Share Everything Did."

Yes, there have been a number of publicity photos...

... and one publication -- I can't for the life of me remember which one -- did a separate, rather impressive photo shoot of the cast recreating old-timey freak show ads. (Anyone else recall the one I mean?) But this article in the NY Post was more typical:
