technical sellouts really have almost nothing to do with characterizing a huge hit. They have more to do with the crappiness of the detritus in a given theatre. The real question is simply whether you are recouping at a good clip. I also resist the notion that nothing is a huge hit any more, since it is clear that most of the flops or slow hits are just not that good. Bring in another BOM and you'll get another super hit. Bring in another matilda and you won't. bring in another show like what we saw last season and you definitely won't. I think you are over-describing Pippin: I think it did quite well for what it was/is.
