Is this pull quote from today's NYT ad for Side Show deceptive?

Posted by: broadwaybacker 11:32 am EST 11/23/14

I'm not looking to "stir up shit" as Rhyhog so eloquently put it yesterday in the thread about Brantley and Nichols. I'm interested in the "ethics" of the issue.

In the full page ad in today's times for Side Show, the first pull quote (to no one's surprise)- is from Isherwood's rave. The quote (and yes, it's in quotes) is: "The essential ticket of the season." BUT, the actual review says: "AN essential ticket of the season." It's one small word, but it does (perhaps to a small degree) change the meaning of the quote. So, do we think this was a deliberate revision? Is it OK within the world of marketing?
