Saving SIDE SHOW

After seeing SIDE SHOW last Thursday night, a friend and I agreed that the musical could be greatly improved and would have a much better chance of becoming a hit if the creators ditched the mediocre score with the June/moon lyrics and replaced them with songs that would punch up the action and give the talented cast something to sing about. Some suggestions:

Now that Sting is represented on Broadway, maybe "Don't Stand So Close to Me" could be included.

Well, "Dreamgirls" has the same composer of "Side Show", less rights issues. :)

Personally I think "Side Show" has a lovely score.

But yes, lots of funny possibilities due to the nature of its leading ladies.
