Jimmy Nail says he's stepping aside "happily," but I still feel bad for him. He's really quite good in the show. I hope that this pays off and Nail can come back to the part.

Jimmy is very good. Would Equity require some kind of "pay off," if you will, for removing him from the part for the stunt casting?

I imagine the producers need to honor his contract and continue to pay him even if he doesn't perform.

For me, he gave the best performance in the show.
