Big Show outside CHICAGO tonite

Celebrating its 18th anniversary and more, CHICAGO had the red carpet out tonight in front of the Ambassador Theatre. I spotted Joel Grey, Bebe Neuwirth, Marilu Henner and John O'Hurley. Also chatted with my old friend Ken Billington, who designed the lighting for the show and won a Tony for it in 1997. Ken and I attended the same junior high, and back then he was the kid who ran the projector and knew everything about the AV equipment. Who knew? Long ticket holder line snaked back to Broadway and more than halfway north to 50th Street. Congratulations to the entire cast and company!
