As you mention, the stage floor extends over the orchestra pit, and this seems to create a problem in sightlines from the first row of the mezzanine. As I mentioned in an earlier post, a woman sitting there complained to me that the railing in front of the mezzanine bisected her view of the stage. Maybe if you're tall, this is not a problem.

I also think the first row of the orchestra is not great, due to a high stage.

Several scenes are played down front, on the part of the stage that has been built out and extended over the pit, and I guess it is possible that the mezzanine rail could interfere with viewing, depending on one's height.

I asked some folks in the front row orchestra if they had any trouble seeing, and no one chimed in. I was in fifth row aisle and could see the bottom of the stage floor, and the taps on Mr. Danza's shoes, only by sitting up straight. Mid to rear orchestra seats are fine for this - there are only 14 rows in the orchestra - and the view from where standing room would be was probably the best of all.
