As you mention, the stage floor extends over the orchestra pit, and this seems to create a problem in sightlines from the first row of the mezzanine. As I mentioned in an earlier post, a woman sitting there complained to me that the railing in front of the mezzanine bisected her view of the stage. Maybe if you're tall, this is not a problem.

I also think the first row of the orchestra is not great, due to a high stage.
