I saw this Oregon Shakespeare Festival production last night and was really impressed with it. The direction was very inventive, the entire theatre was utilized (including some audience members, to great effect) and the cast was overall excellent. There were some unexpected delights and a second act that for me is the best second act of this show I've ever seen. Some excellent musical direction helped make the ending incredibly moving and really focused the entire show around storytelling and why we pass stories down from generation to generation. And I will say that I am not much of a fan of this show in general, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I imagine that if you are already a fan of the show, you will be delighted by this production.
