San Diego REP Production of HONKY Filmed for OnStage America

The San Diego REPertory Theatre announced today that its recent production of Greg Kalleres' play, HONKY, as the pilot for a PBS series titled, "OnStage America." Funds were raised for this series, which will feature performances from U. S. regional theatres, via a Kickstarter campaign. The performances will also be archived. Mr. Kalleres has written a timely satire of black-white relations in the business world and in personal lives. The REP's production was evaluated by local critics as exceedingly well cast and directed (by REP Artistic Director Sam Woodhouse). The production ran November 7 - December 7, 2014.
