We were there Wednesday night, the 10th. The orchestra was full, though a friend of ours was able to pick up a 25 buck ticket in the balcony that afternoon. We were just off center in row R of the orchestra, as close as you can get now on the Passport plan. You pay $125 for that and usually get 50% off a pair of tickets for however many productions you want to see. So our tickets were 30 bucks each. Since we'd see a half-dozen productions this year at the Ahmanson and Taper -- but not at the Douglas-- that only added 10 bucks each to our tickets. I'm not sure that even sitting in the first row of the orchestra center you can see the stage left wall of the set. It seems to be set back to make the room look bigger. And the record player's practically on the stage left proscenium, I guess to give it prominence. In any case, the main thing on the stage left wall is the entrance to the garden, mainly used by Elvira. And, as has been mentioned, she gets onstage pretty quickly. The rest of the action is pretty well downstage center. A uniformly good cast, mainly a mix of the London 2014 and Broadway 2009 casts. Really a charming evening.
