My End-of-Year Piece

I've curated an end-of-year piece on San Diego Theatre and the arts scene generally. I've linked it below for your reading pleasure. As my portion focuses mostly on the business and organization aspects of theatre, I'll include here a top group of productions I saw in San Diego. Didn't get to quite as much as usual this year, but I'm hoping to pick up the pace in 2015. 1. Les Miserables - monster hit revival at Coronado's Lamb's Players Theatre. 2. El Henry - site specific collaboration between La Jolla Playhouse and San Diego REPertory Theatre, Herbert Siguenza's take on the Shakespeare Henry IV plays. 3. Bright Star - The Old Globe's world premiere of the Steve Martin/Edie Brickell musical. 4. Into the Woods - the Fiasco Theatre production, now on stage in New York, presented by The Old Globe. 5. The Pianist of Willesden Lane - San Diego REP presented Hershey Felder and Mona Golabek's superb combination of story telling and piano recital fresh from its New York residency. 6. Monty Python's Spamalot - Moonlight Stage Productions had a stellar summer of musicals. This was the one I liked best. Happy holidays, everyone. Bill, in San Diego
