| The San Diego Theatre Critics Circle has announced today that there is an error in nominations for one of the Craig Noel Award categories. In the Outstanding Original Score category, the Critics Circle regrets to announce that Emily Jankowski was nominated for Moxie Theatre's production of "Jade Heart," when she composed no original music for that production. The production program credited Ms. Jankowski as sound designer, and her work in that area has also been nominated and remains in competition. The Critics Circle members failed to check credits carefully enough and apologizes for the error in nominating the production's music as being original to Ms. Jankowski. Ms. Jankowski's name has been removed from the nomination list for Outstanding Original Score. I cannot make the correction on the main post in this thread, so I'm offering an explanation here. The Craig Noel Awards will be presented Monday, February 9, 2015. I will have a detailed report on the recipients soon after the ceremony has concluded. Bill, in San Diego | |
