| The San Diego Theatre Critics Circle has announced its nominations for the 2014 Craig Noel Awards. These awards honor outstanding productions of professional and semi-professional theatre presented throughout San Diego County. A total of 48 productions received 104 nominations. Leading the list with eight nominations each were Lamb's Player's Theatre's long-running production of Les Misérables and El Henry, Herbert Siguenza's Chicano Theatre take on Shakespeare's Henry IV plays, produced as a site-specific collaboration between the La Jolla Playhouse and the San Diego REPertory Theatre. Five productions received five nominations each. Included in this group was one of two heavily-anticipated musical premieres, the La Jolla Playhouse/Paper Mill Playhouse joint production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
