Eddy Chambers, longtime companion of reviewer and Talkin Broadway favorite Richard Connema, passed away on November 1, 2014. A celebration of Eddy's life will be held on Monday, January 5th at 6pm at SF Playhouse, 450 Post Street, San Francisco, CA. There will be music, martinis and even a movie of Eddy tap dancing with his sister. If you can't be at the memorial and would like to share a memory of Eddy, please email it to me and I will read it. at the beginning of the memorial. Sixty members of the San Francisco Bay Theatre Community came to the San Francisco Playhouse to celebrate the life of Eddy. I was so overwhelmed by the love they gave to my partner. Needless to say I was a "basket case" during the 90 minutes of actors/actresses reading memories of Eddy and the songs that Eddy loved. Following the event everyone adjourned to the lobby to a martini toast to Eddy. What a beautiful night.
