I don't know about the Jewish part, but it's pretty clear this is not the "old Broadway comedy audience." The myth that that audience still exists was given the kabosh with the last round of Simon's plays. There very well may be a NYNJ sensibility that this caters to, but it is quite a different group than any old school B'way base.
