It is rarely produced anywhere. I guess the part is difficult for sopranos. But the house of usher two one acts might get me to the opera house in the fall.

You right. It is a difficult role for sopranos. I saw a production of it at the Met years ago and even the sopranos had a difficult time singing the one aria. It has a beautiful opera score.
