Your repeated (and repeated and repeated) reference to "newbie producers" is so condescending and irritating. Whether or not "Gigi" will be a success, no one on earth ever came out of the womb with Broadway producing credits. Everyone has to have a first time. And I would think you'd be happy that some take the outrageous (perhaps foolhardy) risks to produce a show, particularly for the first time. If no "newbie" producers come on board, all we'll have is a dwindling set of the same old, same old, and producers will surely die out. Whatever you think about their talents, knowledge, whatever, how can you be such a snob about them being "newbies"?
