One can become an experienced producer before becoming a first time lead producer, and one can tag team with an experienced producer. Or one can just bluster one's way in. I wished the production well, but it is not snobbery or condescending to look at things with open eyes or to note that most of these shows from DC have failed precisely because they had producers who didn't know what the fuck they were doing. Many of us said the same thing about On the Town, and gues what, it is going to fail precisely because of inexperience. A surgeon has to operate on someone for the first time, but I don't think you'd feel very comfortable if you had a newbie surgeon flying solo. I'm sorry you find reality irritating. And no, I do not applaud foolhardy producing.
