That's a reasonable point. I don't think however that they actually rolled up their sleeves and worked with any of those other producers; they were mostly investors who maybe occasionally attended some meetings. There are always exceptions to everything, and certainly there have been newbie producers who succeeded, but for the most part the people who have succeeded have spent time working under successful producers, often for years. And when we look at the decisions a newbie is making, and recognize that no experienced producer would make those choices, it underscores that they were not prepared for the task that confronted them. So yes eventually you have to take the plunge, but that's where that word "foolhardy" comes into play.
