Tunick did a wonderful job. And hearing the tracks without the vocals is a fun way to appreciate some of that work more clearly. But it does seem like an odd marketing choice. It would be awkward to use this as a "karaoke" CD, because indeed it doesn't have any guides for filling in the silent parts, etc (usually sing-along CD's make things a little more user-friendly), and I can't see wanting to listen to this repeatedly in lieu of the actual soundtrack. But...they must have thought it would be of interest...
