Given that it doesn't work at all as a movie, I'm not at all surprised INTO THE WOODS isn't nominated for Best Picture (or Best Director or Best Adapted Screenplay).

Streep is very good, and deserves the nomination (though maybe not to win); in terms of the nominations it got and the ones it *didn't* get, I think the Academy pretty much got it right.
