Exactly. There are rumblings here and there that he wasn't exactly thrilled with some elements of the National Theatre's 'A Little Night Music' (particularly the alterations to the score which he authorised), but he certainly never said anything against the production in public while it was running, and when he got up onstage at the final performance - I was there - he looked happy enough, and made a great show of acknowledging/applauding the cast.
