RIP Ervin Drake

Posted by: mlop 01:02 pm EST 01/15/15

Broadway Songwriter Ervin Drake passed away this morning at the age of 95 at home. He write the songs for WHAT MAKES SAMMY RUN and HER FIRST ROMAN. "A Room Without Window" from Sammy was a monumental hit.

His other songs were classics:

"I Believe
"It Was a Very Good Year"
"Al-di-la"
"Tico-Tico"
"Good Morning Heartache"
"Quando, Quando"

and many more.

He was very active and until recently could be found with his wife Edyth in audiences everywhere.

He was a beautiful man and I feel so lucky to have known. He will always be in my heart.
