Streep is sort of too old, right? But when I think about it, most of the folks I'd like to see in these roles are really too old. I'd love to see Sally Field as Sally, Shirley MacLaine as Hattie, maybe a curve ball like Dolly Parton as Carlotta. How old are thse people supposed to be anyway...40s? Today's 40 seems so much younger than who there characters are. Robin Wright as Phyllis? Christina Applegate as Sally? It'll be interesting to see how this goes.
