Phyllis, Sally, Carlotta, and Stella, at least, all appeared in the same edition of the Follies in 1941. We find out that Carlotta and Ben dallied in the past, and Sally at least claims to be acquainted with Stella.

This was the last edition of the Follies, so none of the women would be any younger and many would probably be older. It's possible that Carlotta and Stella appeared in more than one edition of the Follies, but I find it doubtful that Phyllis and Sally did.

I find it likely that every character who dances in "Who's That Woman?" would have appeared in the 1941 edition of the show and would likely be in her late-40's or early 50's. Stella could be older since she wasn't a chorus girl, but rather a featured performer.

Since every woman in the show descends the staircase in "Beautiful Girls" with a sash proclaiming her year in the Follies, I wonder if the script is very specific about this. That information would be very useful to the actors and director, even if it's never actually pointed out in a line.
