In today’s New York Post, Michael Riedel writes about “The Last Impresario,” a documentary about Michael White, the legendary London producer of the 1960s and ‘70s.

The film is available on Netflix and Amazon.

I realize that you're repeating Riedel's assertion, but a search of Netflix for this title yields nothing.

For those interested, you can watch it through Amazon, though for a fee. It is not free with Amazon Prime.

134 features were on the longlist of eligible docs this year. For whatever reasons (timing? not submitted?), "The Last Impresario" wasn't among them. So there was no chance that it would be on the narrowed-down list of 15, let alone the final 5. ("Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me" and "Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles" were two theater-related docs that did appear on the list and thus were in contention for a while.)
