You have a point. Let's say perhaps that the "Mirror Number" was The Numbo of the last edition of the Follies, the Numbo to end all Numboes as it were: superbly lavish, incredibly demanding on the performers, an audience favorite that got encored over and over again. This would presumably have been in the 1941-1942 edition of the show?
