| Well, I purchased a $50 ticket in the second to last row of the mezzanine about 3 hours before curtain. What a fun show! Is it perfect? No. Is the story flawed? Yes. Are the tunes awesome? Mostly yes. Is Brynn O'Malley a little boring? Yes. Did I get my money's worth - at least 200% if not more. This show has ENERGY to it. I was amazed. I was expecting a JRB show like Parade or Bridges which is more gentle to the touch. This dazzles and dazzles and dazzles again. The star of the show is not Mr. Danza or Rob McClure - it is the orchestra. They put 150% into what they are doing. At some points, they're pushing the cast along for extra energy. I haven't seen this sort of "jazzed" up musicianship since Newsies was in previews or On The Town. You will leave the theater tapping your foot. I honestly can't remember a note from the score, but I suspect with a cast recording it'll get easier. (It was the same for On the Town) Tony Danza did well.... but I'm not a fan of his singing voice *at all.* Nancy Opel was good, but her character was annoying as anything and unnecessary I thought. Seemed like a waste. They could've also shaved about 10 minutes off of Act 1 and maybe five minutes from Act 2. I'm surprised that with 50 previews they weren't able to tighten up some parts of the story. Back to the orchestra - they must be getting paid handsomely. They change clothes 4x (Tux, Red Jacket, Hawaiian shirts and back to the Red jacket) and are constantly on the move! | |

| The story is flawed, the leading lady is boring, Danza can't sing. Opel's character is annoying, it needs to cut 15 minutes and you got 200% of your moneys worth? You're a very forgiving audience member. | |

| I saw yesterday's matinee (also full-looking house) and enjoyed it a lot. I'm not sure it's saying that much to report that you paid 50 bucks and raved that it's worth at least twice that. That's still less than a full-price ticket and won't get them very far. I liked the reappearance of Nancy Opel throughout. One of the tricky parts of romantic comedies is having a reasonable obstacle to the leads getting together. The mother's curse was a clever one (I've never seen the movie), and that served to keep it "real" for us. I thought I talked well and was funny. | |

| That would be a weekly gross over $900k. I think the producers would've very happy withthat number. | |

| Doesn't "200% more" make it $150? | |

| They have tightened up the show since previews. And added little physical bits for the actors, including the dancers. I thought Rob McClure and the band were the MVPs. McClure and O'Malley had much better energy together the second time I saw it. I think Danza is physically right for the part but it would be interesting to see a real singer in the role. | |

| I saw it twice in previews, both times with paper. The first time the balcony was full. The second time, last week, sitting in the orchestra, it was about 2/3 full. | |
