I have wondered this before: Does Numbo come from Mordden or does that term predate him? He's the first person I read use it, and I've rarely or never (till now) read anyone use that term (unless referring to Mordden's use).

It would have been either the 1940-41 season or the 1941-42 season.

I tend to think that big dance numbers were rarely actually encored. Maybe a big solo dance number might be encored, but a big group number?

Someone once posted in a Facebook group that he was at either closing night in 1972 or the closing matinee (I can't remember which), and it was encored. I was immediately skeptical — more than skeptical — because it would have been close to impossible to encore the number, at least without knowing in advance that you were going to do it. I mean, Mary McCarty would have had to say, "Hey, ladies. Back to your opening places. We're doing it again. Hit it, Paul! Ready, light booth? And are the boys in the basement ready to do the taps again?" And then she would have had to hope that no one said, "No, Mary. We're already all sweaty. Not again."

Fortunately, I think someone else jumped in saying that he was there, too, and that did not happen.

Anyway, even in the actual Weissman Follies (if there had been one) with young dancers (and without ghosts having to run offstage and then having to re-enter), it seems unlikely to me that it would have been very viable for a number like that to be performed again immediately.
