Sorry that we have a misunderstanding. Regardless of how famous or iconic the number was supposed to be, and whether or not it was repeated in several editions, I understand your point that only one person calls it "the mirror number." I do think it's plausible that it might be referred to as "the mirror number" even if it was only performed in one edition, but at any rate: I have no problem with the number as presented as long as we're supposed to understand that all of the women who recreate it at the party were in the same edition of the Follies. It's only a problem if we're supposed to think those women are widely varying in age and were NOT in the same edition, in which case the only way they would all know the choreography was if the number were repeated in several editions -- which we all seem to believe would probably not have been the case. I hope that's clear :-)
