I think it's a big mistake to produce a stage production that can't hope to compare to the Gallic authenticity of the film. It's a story that so relies on a certain European refinement that the stage revival can't hope to match without more careful casting and respect for the original film musical.

Also, I read that Thank Heaven for Little Girls is sung by the grandmother and aunt instead of Honore. Really?

Looks like I'll be skipping this production.
