I may not have directed a show on Broadway... but I have directed established work and original work, and I have worked on Broadway revivals and original works, and I can say from my experience and observation, it is considerably more taxing to direct a new play and especially a new musical on Broadway than it is to do a revival. Just felt like adding this to the conversation.
