Props to STING!

His score for THE LAST SHIP will most likely win him a Tony Award. Is there another score this year that would even be close to getting a Tony?

But, my props to him are also for his stage door etiquette. He came out and signed for the folks after Saturday Night's performance. And, after he was done and was getting ready to walk away, my 19 year old son walked up to him and asked him if he could get a picture with him. He said "Sure", and put his arm around my son's shoulder and pulled him in close and I got the picture. My son is usually shy and not very assertive, so I was proud that he walked up to Sting and asked him for a picture. But Sting could not have been more kind and gracious. After the pic he said to my son, "Thanks for coming" and walked away.

A True Class Act!!

I love the Last Ship score, but Fun Home will give it a run for is money. The Fun Home score is simply astounding.

I also give Sting props. He truly seems like a class act, and I enjoyed the show very much both times I saw it.

I was thinking about Fun Home and The Visit... and Something Rotten! is another possibility... a known unknown that could be a factor...

I think It Shoulda Been You has the worst title ever for new show. The cast is appealing but it sounds like a bomb.

You are right, I had completely forgotten about FH. I was thinking primarily of VEGAS and NEVERLAND; VEGAS did not get good reviews and NEVERLAND's score was amateurish at best. But then, Sting's score might edge out FH's score (which I have not heard but I have heard great things about it) simply because...well, it's STING! Sort of like Cindy Lauper winning for KB, when the scores for MATILDA and A CHRISTMAS STORY were equally compelling.

I think FH will win most of the big awards, but I think that Sting will get a Tony for his score for TLS.

I'm a huge "Fun Home" fan but Kander and Ebb will also have a say in this (I haven't heard it yet but they certainly have sentiment and a huge amount of talent on their side).
