video of Tony Danza singing a song from HONEYMOON IN VEGAS

Posted by: ilw 06:37 pm EST 01/19/15

I wasn't as wowed as Ben Brantley by Tony Danza's performance in Honeymoon in Vegas, which I thought was fine but not exceptional. I think his charm does come through in this video of him singing and tap dancing the second act song: "A Little Luck."

As much as I enjoyed Don Sebesky's big band orchestration of this song in the show, I really like this version, where Danza is accompanied only by Jason Robert Brown at the piano.

For those into elaborate rhyme schemes, pay attention during the bridge.
