I also saw Sunday's evening performance of Gigi which was packed with old people and young girls. Of course the score to this "revisal" is glorious and a lot of the numbers are sung by different characters but the cast is wonderful, especially Victoria Clark in the Gingold part, Corey Cott as a young and sexy Gaston (his second act title song stops the show) and especially Vanessa Hudgens' Gigi, who effortlessly sings and dances and brings all the charm to the chlld and all the beauty to the elegant scene at Maxim's. The first act needs work, it drags on with too much dancing but the second act is wonderful with also star turns by Dee Hoty and Howard McGillin. Clark does a beautiful "Say A Prayer For Her" in the second act. The scenery and the lighting and sound are wonderful. There is a unit set with a big staircase with a vista of the Eiffel Tower in the distance and drops in the foreground for the interior scenes. I would expect that Hudgens would be a strong contender for a Tony. It's directed by Craig Schaffer and the choreography is by Joshua Bergasse (On the Town)
