It was magic on Broadway. Reba surpassed anyone else I had seen do the role. She was perfect. Brent Barrett was fabulous two, the two together couldn't be better. There was a plan for this to be taped for tv but it fell through. No she is not too old for the role. I saw Merman do it in the revival at Lincoln Center and this was on tv. I saw Bernadette do it. Put her in the tv version she is so believable.
