| The Heart of Robin Hood, which has been scheduled to begin performances on March 11 at the Marquis Theatre, will no longer play the Broadway venue. Instead, the show will extend for four additional weeks through March 29 in Toronto, where the show currently runs at the Royal Alexandra Theatre......... No plans for a future Broadway engagement have been announced. | |

| They should tell the Marquis - they still have the show's artwork up on their LED screen nm | |

| Merely a jolly olde question; was there an audience for both "Robin Hood" and "Something Rotten" | |

| Yes, I know they aren't remotely the same. Yet a retelling of the Robin Hood legend in the same season with another Merry Olde England in its rollicking heyday musical might be one trip to the musty British trunk too many for an ever capricious B'way audience. I realize these shows are not tonally similar in any way. I get it. But let me be really obvious here: both shows are about men in tights. | |

| Interestly, the literal first time that I ever saw anything about this show was walking through Times Square this morning on the way to work. I happened to see the marquee and, never having heard of the show before, assumed that it was a fake Broadway show marquee for a film or TV show. If whomever is in charge of advertising this show hadn't been able to reach someone, like me, who pays attention to what's going on in New York theatre, I can't imagine there was much penetration with the casual theatregoer or tourist. | |

| I completely forgot it was supposed to be coming in this season until Audience Rewards listed it as one of their ShowPoints + Cash offers last week. | |

| It didn't seem like the marquis was a good theater for the show. | |

| I wanted to see this but it belongs in a smaller theater, no. And more advance publicity? | |

| I'm sure the producers made the right decision. To but a musical into a theatre where you would have to move after only four or five months is insane. We no longer have wing-and-drop sets that can be moved during a day off. If it costs IT'S ONLY A PLAY about $800,000 to make the move (their estimate per various news items) imagine what it would cost a big (even small) musical! | |

| I never understood why they were coming for a "limited engagement". Didn't know the Marquis was booked for the Gloria Estefan show till now. Makes sense to cancel and wait for a theatre where they wont be forced to vacate. | |

| I was hoping to see this show too. The opening and then move would make no sense. There is always hope for next season. Robin Hood had no publicity and I doubted it's arrival when I first heard of it. | |

| It's not a musical - it's a play with a few songs and live musicians. | |

| Do they have something going into Studio 54 after Cabaret? That might work for this show. I too was looking forward to seeing this. | |

| play following Fiaco's ITW, Significant Other. That's teh final production of the season. Personally, I'm hoping they put traditional seats back in Studio 54 before booking anything else there. | |
