I'm sure the producers made the right decision. To but a musical into a theatre where you would have to move after only four or five months is insane. We no longer have wing-and-drop sets that can be moved during a day off.

If it costs IT'S ONLY A PLAY about $800,000 to make the move (their estimate per various news items) imagine what it would cost a big (even small) musical!

I never understood why they were coming for a "limited engagement". Didn't know the Marquis was booked for the Gloria Estefan show till now. Makes sense to cancel and wait for a theatre where they wont be forced to vacate.

I was hoping to see this show too. The opening and then move would make no sense. There is always hope for next season. Robin Hood had no publicity and I doubted it's arrival when I first heard of it.

It's not a musical - it's a play with a few songs and live musicians.

Do they have something going into Studio 54 after Cabaret? That might work for this show. I too was looking forward to seeing this.

play following Fiaco's ITW, Significant Other. That's teh final production of the season.

Personally, I'm hoping they put traditional seats back in Studio 54 before booking anything else there.
