ROCK OF AGES
PERFORMANCE RIGHTS AVAILABLE THROUGH SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

Get ready to rock! Samuel French, the world’s premiere theatrical publishing and licensing company, is now accepting requests for professional and amateur performance rights for the five-time Tony Award Nominated smash hit Rock of Ages. Fresh from a six-year run on Broadway, Rock of Ages joins Samuel French’s collection of great musicals including Chicago, Grease, The Rocky Horror Show and Heathers the Musical.

“Not only is Samuel French home to some of the world’s greatest musicals, we are the place for great musicals that ROCK!” says Executive Director Bruce Lazarus, “Rock of Ages is a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek love story set to some of the most iconic and enduring rock anthems. This show gets audiences singing along, dancing in the aisles, and ready to party like none other!”

Set in 1987 on LA’s famous Sunset Strip, a small-town girl and big-city dreamer meet and fall in love to the greatest songs of the 1980s. With book by Chris D’Arienzo, the musical features 28 classic rock tunes including such feel-good, sing-out-loud songs as “I Wanna Know What Love Is”, “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Wanted Dead Or Alive,” “Here I Go Again”, “Don’t Stop Believin” and more.

Rock of Ages premiered on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theater on April 7, 2009 where it garnered five Tony nominations before moving to the Helen Hayes Theatre. After playing 2,328 shows it closed on January 18, 2015, making it the 27th longest running show in Broadway history. The show is also an international sensation, with smash productions in Tokyo, Sydney, London and Las Vegas. A major motion picture starring Tom Cruise was released in 2012.

Samuel French has exclusive representation of all worldwide professional and amateur stage performance rights to Rock of Ages. Teen, concert and abridged versions of the musical are also in development.
