I'm as much of a believer in "the show must go on" as anyone, but this seemed very foolhardy. A 78-year-old man with a known heart condition faints, feels dizzy, and short of breath, yet goes on to finish a 3-hour play? All was fine in the end, but it very easily could have had a tragic outcome.

It sounds like Blessed was aware of his condition and once looked at and perhaps received fluids, felt it was fine to continue. I imagine if it was worse, he round not go back on stage nor would a surgeon advise it.

"By the way, don't touch the figs." :)

Kudos to Blessed for soldiering on. I hope he's grown into the role, though. He's a terrific actor, but I really disliked his 1999 Lear.
