You do not need a student ID; there's no age restriction. The rush tickets are usually, though nit always, classified partial view (box seats, etc., wherein you may miss the stage right or stage left walls, but you don't miss much since the electronic projections on the right wall are mirrored on the left and vice versa). I got to the theatre at 10:15 on a Tuesday. There was no rush line, and I got the last two rush tickets for $39 each. Thoroughly winning performances, great leading man-boy, deliriously inventive staging and concept and at least as moving and as much fun as any musical.
