Theatre in Oregon

Well this is my second year here in Salem, Oregon, and I have discovered there is much theatre going on.
First, there's the Pentacle Theatre. I just closed LEND ME A TENOR. The current show is YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, which I have not seen, yet.
Salem now has a new professional theatre group ENLIGHTENED THEATRICS. Their next production is HAIR in July. ET produces
musicals, their last production was SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD.
And UNCLE VANYA is currently in rehearsals at The Verona Studio, a Black Box Theatre at the Reed Opera House downtown. They just closed POISON BLONDE which was a one woman show. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get tickets for that show.

Okay, GUYS AND DOLLS at the Keller Auditorium in Portland was pretty good!
Touring isn't easy, in fact, touring is downright exhausting, so where the cast got its energy from I don'tknow.....perhaps it was just from the classic material. I was exhausted just watching! I love GUYS AND DOLLS,
okay I had my reservations on the movie starring Sinatra and Brando....so if the
production comes to your city, by all means, it is worth seeing!

In april, the Community theatre in Salem, Oregon, The Pentacle Theatre will be holding auditions for its early
summer production of CHICAGO. If anyone is interested in auditioning for CHICAGO , I will post audition time and place.
I saw this show in Las Vegas, (long ago) staring
Chita Rivera and Ben Vereen....I really enjoyed their performances, and the story. And the costumes. And the music.
