BAM! Bay Area Musicals

Posted by: PatrickHSF 03:39 pm EDT 04/16/15

I hadn't heard of BAM and I don't recall seeing it posted here on ATC. They are a new musical theater company founded last year. Their inaugural season begins later this year with H2$, Hair, La Cage.

Exciting...and I will be interested to watch them develop. I'm not sure I agree with their assertion that the Bay Area lacks an outstanding regional musical theater company. There are many excellent offerings, such as TheaterWorks, Ray of Light and 42nd St Moon, though TW is not just musicals and ROL and 42M are much smaller.

Can local audience market support another theater company? (I suppose yes depending on quality and price.)
