I finally saw "Book of Mormon" last night

Posted by: Richard Connema 05:21 pm EDT 04/16/15

Hey, now I can go to that great theatre in the sky happy and contented. I finally saw "Book of Mormon" at the Orpheum last night.

There will be NO review of this on regional since I was requested that this touring company does not need a review.

Did I like it?? You bet---I love the score, the singers, the production, especially A.J. Holmes as Elder Cunningham.

Even this Jesuit trained guy like the Christ on the cross number. Needless to say it was a packed house and at the end everyone rose up to cheer and applaude the performances.

Coming to SF this weekend and I've never seen BOM, and can't really afford the $200 tickets....does anyone know how big the lottery is? Wondering what my odds would be.

Each city that the tour goes to (or, at least, has gone to thus far) is obligated to hold some seats for the lottery.

Number of seats has varied from city to city (When they played my theatre, they originally wanted to hold all of the front row. We ended up doing 10 pairs on the sides of the Orchestra section)

These seats are then sold for $25 via the lottery

The number of people that show up varies greatly from day to day (weather, holidays, day of the week..all factor in)

It's coming to Sacramento next March

Glamourboy I'm not sure if you live in Nor Cal, if so you may want to wait until next year and come to see the show in Sacramento. Their Premium orch is $155 or so and the balcony would be $50. Single tickets aren't sold yet.
