Oregon Cabaret Theatre does small musicals, some of them quite decent. OSF is doing a second musical this year, a world premiere jukebox musical called "Head Over Heels." It will perform in the Elizabethan Theatre this summer. The writer is Jeff Whitty, and the music is taken from The Go-Gos catalog. There is a comercial producer attached to this project, but the OSF production is independent. I scored a ticket to see a panel featuring the creative team this morning and now wish I was planning to come up again this summer.

I do think that OSF gives a segment of its audience a chance to see a professional production of musicals that it might not otherwise see.

Bill, headed soon to see the final play of the weekend before returning to San Diego
