SD: Diversionary Theatre Announces Its 2015-16 Season

San Diego's company that focuses on plays by LGBT authors and featuring LGBT characters has been on a calendar year season. The company is going back to a summer-to-summer season and has been filling in since January 1 until Matt M. Morrow, the company's new Executive Artistic Director was ready to announce a full-year's season. That announcement was released today and features a world premiere and three West Coast premieres. Here's the line-up: Amazons and Their Men, by Jordan Harrison, a 2016 Pulitzer Prize finalist, and directed by Mr. Morrow. This West Coast premiere runs September 3 - October 4, 2015. Bright Half Life, by Tanya Barfield, and directed by Lydia Fort, the Executive Artistic Director of San Diego's Mo'olelo Performing Arts Company. This West Coast premiere runs October 29 - November 29, 2015. A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration in Concert, by Paula Vogel and director by Ion Theatre's Kim Strassburger. Runs December 10, 2015 - January 3, 2016. Now or Later, a West Coast Premiere from author Christopher Shinn and director Matt M. Morrow. Runs February 11 - March 13, 2016. The Boy Who Danced on Air, a world premiere musical from Jonathan Larson award winners Charlie Sohne and Tim Rosser. Directed by Chay Yew and choreographed by Charlie Sohne, this production runs May 5 - June 12, 2016. Bill, in San Diego
